FAQs
Will I need accounting projections?
A number of banks will ask for viability forecasts (projections) for the practice under your ownership, which may differ from the way that the current principal works at the practice.
With experience of looking after hundreds of dental practices, our dental accountants are recognised by the banks as a specialist who can provide these.
The projections will also take into account finance costs and tax, meaning that you know exactly what you would be earning from the practice.
Will I need insurance for my loan?
Most banks will request that you review your insurance cover so that if the worst happens the loan can be repaid or the monthly repayments of the loan continue.
Typical insurance requirements are:
– Life cover/Critical illness for loan amount and term
– Income Protection
– Overheads Insurance
– Surgery Insurance
As PFM Dental are independent financial advisers, we can advise on the levels of cover required and search the market to ensure that you get suitable cover (such as ‘own occupation’) and the most competitive premiums. For further details see our Financial Services.
